How to Create, Customize, & Brand a Course Certificate
Step 1: Go to Settings (1) > General (2) in a course editor.
Step 2: Scroll down to "Presentation" and follow the screenshot instructions.
1. Enable "Customize Completion Page."
2. Enable "Show Certificate."
3. Click Edit to customize the certificate.
Step 3: On the certificate customization screen, follow the instructions shown in the screenshot:
1. Select a certificate template from our library, upload your certificate, or you can even Google for more designs.
2. Click Customize This Certificate to edit the design further.
Step 4: Follow the screenshot instructions below to edit your certificate design further.
1. Drag and drop the required placeholders over the certificate. Donât worry about the values as yet. Values, such as the learnerâs name, the course title, etc., will automatically appear when the certificate is generated.
2. Enter static text and place it anywhere on the certificate.
3. Formatting options for the placeholder text.
4. Switch between certificate templates.
5. Click Save & Done when youâve customized the certificate to your requirements. Your customized certificate is ready.

Not currently within one course, but you can split a path into separate short courses and assign unique certificates to each.

Certificate downloads arenât tracked individually, but you can confirm course completion in the reports section.
Can I add a QR code or certificate ID for verification?
Thereâs no built-in QR generator, but you can add a static image of a QR code or use a unique certificate ID field via static text.
Do certificates expire?
Expiration isnât built into certificates, but you can display validity dates manually or trigger a follow-up course using automation when the certificate is about to expire.
